The Learning Support Team at Engadine High School plays a central role in ensuring that all students can access the curriculum and thrive. We take a proactive and student-centred approach, using a structured system of learning and wellbeing support so that every student receives the right level of help at the right time.

Led by Deputy Principal Blake Leonard, the team meets every week to review student data, identify support needs, coordinate interventions, and monitor progress. We work closely with families and staff to develop practical, individualised plans that support learning, engagement, and wellbeing across all years.

With a dedicated and skilled team, Engadine High School is proud to provide some of the most inclusive and responsive support structures in the Sutherland Shire.

Our approach

Engadine High School follows the Department of Education’s tiered intervention framework to deliver targeted support based on student need. This model is applied consistently across learning, wellbeing, and behaviour structures to ensure a whole-school approach.

We use a wide range of data to inform support, including attendance, wellbeing indicators, literacy and numeracy assessments, and teacher referrals.
