‘Dissimulation’ – Artist statement:
My Body of Work represents the invisibility of people in domestic violence situations. The camouflage body paintings convey the absence of the capability to speak out subsequently from fear, while the birds represent freedom. Whether it’s longing for freedom or breaking free. My work incorporates large scale acrylic paintings and body paint to transform a blank canvas and the human form from one two dimensional artwork into a three dimensional illusion.
