Earth and Environmental Science Guest Speaker

Year 11 and 12 EES student were lucky enough to get a visit by Susan Filan, Education Officer at Australian Earth Science Education. 

The students used VR to virtually walk around various mining operations, enriching their knowledge of the EES syllabus. They also used some fun hands-on models to learn about mining techniques and used data from the website minview to analyse natural resources in the local area and NSW.

Linking career options with scientific knowledge is an important part of all science courses.
