Tara Richardson from 2020 Year 12 achieved 96.1 and a Band 6 in Biology. Following her nomination for the Victor Chang award, Tara found her passion in this area of study and consequently is doing a Bachelor of Science (Medical Science) majoring in genetics and genomics at Sydney University.
She reports she is really enjoying her university subjects: Human Biology Life and Evolution.
She is also taking Fundamentals of Chemistry, Calculus and two smaller units called ‘Health Challenges: Pain and Society’ and ‘Science of Health and Wellbeing’ for this semester.
Tara’s subjects demonstrate that students have a wide range of subject choices at university, and should choose Year 11 and 12 subjects which build on their strengths and interests.
