Several of our Year 10 students embarked on leadership training last week as part of the Empowering Youth to Inspire Change (EYTIC) Project. The students worked throughout the day under the direction of Mr Reg Mahoney, a former Assistant Commissioner of Police in NSW. The students were guided on how to build resilience and inclusivity during a number of workshops.
The program will continue for the remainder of the year. The students will develop leadership skills in tackling cyberbullying, anti-racism, reporting hate crime, responsible social media engagement and developing social cohesion.
Well done to our volunteer EYTIC group, we look forward to more leadership training and community projects throughout the year.
