Stewart House is a safe haven located at Curl Curl Beach which provides students, who need a break from their everyday life, with a range of programs and opportunities. During the 12 day stay, students are provided with dental, optical, hearing and medical screening and treatment. They participate in educational programs and excursions designed to develop their social and emotional skills, build self-esteem and improve their overall well-being.
On Monday 7th of June (Week 8B) the SRC will be holding a fundraiser for Stewart House which will help the institution continue these programs. Students are invited to wear their best and brightest silly socks and make a gold coin donation. The SRC will also be holding a handball competition where students can register for $5 to play and this includes a Stewart House 'High Bounce Handball'. Handballs can also be purchased for $4. Hot dogs ($3) and soft drinks ($2) will also be available for purchase on the day to raise additional funds. All proceeds will go to Stewart House.
We hope students will get on board to help fundraise for this important public school initiative, Stewart House.
