As the semester comes to an end, we want to acknowledge how proud we are of the way in which our students have settled into school and strive to make the most of learning and extra curricular opportunities.
Year 12 are currently preparing for the trial HSC exams, which will run in a slightly different structure across Week 10 of this term and Week 1 of Term 3. We encourage all students to take the time to thoroughly prepare and seek guidance if needed. For those students completing major works, perseverance and taking advantage of time to work on your ‘project’ that is offered by teachers will be the key to your success.
Year 8 and 10 have just submitted elective choices for 2022 and will receive elective information next term. While we attempt to ensure all students are allocated their preferences, we ask you to remember that this may not always be possible, but we will work with students to find suitable alternatives.
Engadine High School continues to experience success in debating and public speaking, and sporting endeavours as a school, with students progressing to the next rounds in Premier’s Debating Challenge and Premier’s Public Speaking competitions, winning the Cronulla Sutherland Regional Oztag Championships and winning the All School Mountain Biking Championships, to name a few.
Winter has most definitely arrived. Unfortunately, so has the increase in the variations to our school uniform. Our policy does not permit the wearing of beanies, undershirts, hoodies / sloppy joes, and sports tracksuit pants can only be worn on Wednesdays for students in Year 7-10.
We have added some new products to our uniform range including a “non-itchy” cotton blend school jumper and tailored school pants that are suited to all students. Please ensure that you talk with your children and let us work together to continue the strong sense of school pride we offer through our school uniform.
We look forward to a busy but productive last two weeks of term.
