Rising to the challenge of online learning, Year 11 Investigating Science students went on a hunt for models within their home. Science uses physical replicas, scientific drawing, computer simulations, analogies and mathematics formula to model and predict the natural world. Here are some examples of the students’ models.(Examples from K Olsen and B Timewell)
Some science students have been investigating the chemical analysis technique through colour absorbance. Here is some images of the students clever experiments using an app to measure light transmission through chemicals of different concentrations. They have demonstrated innovative use of materials at hand to applying scientific laws to everyday situations. Well done!
Year 10 is starting the topic Genetics and Evolution. Some students have been presenting quality work including a collage about the new topic.
