Our Year 7/8 Girls Oztag team competed at the Champions of Champions tournament after being runners up at the Regional tournament earlier in the year. The girls faced some tough opposition but had moments of brilliance that saw them winning games against St Scholasticas and Bowral and being only narrowly beaten by St Pius and Umina.
The girls made the quarter finals on Day 2 of the tournament and were up against Endeavour Sports HS, the team they lost to in the Regional competition. After a long battle, the girls lost the game but were fantastic in keeping Endeavour almost scoreless in the second half.
Special mention to Molly W for being an amazing leader and ‘Best and Fairest’ on the field and to Mia I for her excellent play and being ‘Player of the Series’ which included two intercept tries!
Thanks also to Mr Campey for his great coaching!
What an amazing achievement girls - you should be very proud of yourselves!!!
