Celebrating Harmony Week. Our Year 10 EYTIC members delivered informative presentations to all year groups with the focus being "everyone belongs". Holly in Year 11 produced the winning entry of the Harmony Day Poster Competition with a stunning and powerful watercolour. The week was capped off with a number of our students taking part in a live cooking competition in Westfield Miranda. Local former MasterChef contestant, Aldo Ortado guided the teams to prepare amazing dishes from international cuisines. The dishes were presented to a judging panel which included Cronulla Sharks players and the manager of Grill'd. The students cooked dishes from Thailand, Mexico and Italy using various proteins and vegetables drawn from a hat. It was a very close competition with Team Italia, Sophie and Duc-Tri, winning the competition with their delicious barramundi puttanesca. Harmony Week is about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone. Thank you to Gymea Community Aid and Information Service for their continued support. Thank you also to Sutherland Shire Council and Cronulla Sharks.
