Refugee Week

EHS celebrated Refugee Week and its powerful theme "Finding Freedom". We were honoured to have Milad Kado, a remarkable guest speaker representing the Refugee Council of Australia (RCOA), share his personal journey and experiences with Year 10 and Support Unit classes. Milad's stories of fleeing war torn Iraq and Syria as a young child reminded us of the strength and resilience that refugees possess. Despite all that Milad went through over a 10 year journey to Australia his messages were clear we should always have hope and remain positive. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to listen to Milad's powerful narrative and gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by refugees around the world.
