Year 12 Chemistry Students at Sydney University

Year 12 Chemistry class visited Sydney University to access the Kickstart workshops. These aim to give HSC students a chance to do experiments and demonstrations of key ideas in the syllabus that are difficult to do in the classroom

The experiments require specialist equipment and the excursion allows students to visit a world class university that students doing subjects like chemistry and physics in the HSC are likely to have access to through the ATAR process. Expert science communicator teams  walked our students through the theory and then it was time for the hands-on demonstrations to reinforce these key ideas using University’s laboratory facilities."
