Our Year 11 and 12 Ancient History students had an incredible excursion last Friday! They started the day at the Seymour Centre, where they had the privilege of hearing from the esteemed Dame Mary Beard, a leading expert in classics who received a rockstar reception. Her presentation was engaging and inspiring, offering unique insights into ancient history.
Afterwards, the students visited the Great Hall at Sydney Uni, marveling at its stunning architecture and rich history. The day concluded with a visit to the Chau Chak Wing Museum, where they explored the fascinating Nicholson collection. Highlights included the mummy room, the Lego Pompeii exhibit, and the impressive armour of the Roman legions.
It was a day filled with learning, discovery, and unforgettable experiences. Well done to all the students who participated!
