What a day full of pride, celebration, laughs and a few tears as we farewelled our amazing Year 12 students. The journey of the Class of 2024 has been marked by resilience, kindness, and a deep sense of community, and we couldn’t be prouder of all they’ve achieved.
The morning began with a beautiful assembly, where every student was acknowledged for their individual journey and growth. Special awards were given, our new leadership team was inducted, and we were treated to moving speeches and stunning performances that captured the spirit of this year group.
What makes this graduation so special is knowing that each and every one of these students comes from a different background, with their own unique story. Yet, they’ve all arrived here, together, at this impressive milestone. We are so proud of them all.
One of the most touching moments came at the end of the assembly, as our Year 12 students completed a lap of honour around the school. All our students lined the paths, forming a guard of honour, applauding and cheering on the graduating class. It was a truly special moment that highlighted the unity and support that runs through Engadine High.
The celebrations continued with a formal lunch at Dolton House, where we shared in the joy of their achievements and reflected on the many different paths that brought them to this moment. From all walks of life, this kind and compassionate group of students have grown together, overcoming challenges and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
A special shout-out to our outgoing school captains, Brooke Pollard and Sophie Weppler, whose speeches today were heartfelt and inspiring. We also extend our deepest thanks to all the teachers who have guided these students to this point, and to the parents and carers who have supported them every step of the way.
Class of 2024, you’ve made us incredibly proud, and we can’t wait to see the wonderful things you’ll do next. Congratulations on all you’ve achieved!
