Careers Education at Engadine High School supports students to explore, plan and manage their future pathways through a wide range of programs and initiatives.
Our Careers Adviser provides individual and group guidance to help students make informed decisions about study, training and employment options that align with their interests, strengths and goals.

Career development enables students to acquire the knowledge, skills and capabilities they need to successfully navigate transitions from school to further education, training or work.
We maintain strong links with industry and tertiary providers, regularly hosting guest speakers, workshops and career expos to connect students with real-world opportunities.

Key programs and supports include:

Through these programs, Engadine High School supports every student to identify their strengths, explore diverse pathways, and transition smoothly into further education, training, or employment. Our strong partnerships with industry, TAFE and tertiary providers ensure students are connected to real-world opportunities and can make confident, informed decisions about their future.

Work experience

Engadine High School offers valuable  work experience opportunities  to Year 10 students, providing practical insights into a wide range of career pathways. Formal work experience placements for Year 10 students take place twice a year, during Term 2 and Term 4, giving students the chance to gain hands-on experience in real-world workplaces.

Additional work experience opportunities — including those for  Years 9, 11 and 12  — may also be arranged throughout the year in consultation with our Careers Adviser, who supports students in finding placements that align with their individual interests and goals.

We warmly invite  local businesses and organisations  to partner with us in supporting our students’ career development.
If your business is interested in offering work experience placements, apprenticeships, traineeships, or other career-related opportunities, please  contact the school  to explore how we can collaborate to prepare the next generation for the workforce.
