BreastScreen NSW Is Reminding Women To ‘Treat Their Health’ And Book A Free Life-Saving Mammogram.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in Australian women and will affect 1 in 7 women in NSW during their lifetime.  Research has shown that breast screening of women aged 50 to 74 can reduce the number of deaths from the disease.

A screen with BreastScreen NSW is only 20 minutes, a GP referral is not required, and all radiographers are female.

Booking is easy and can be done online or by calling 13 20 50. An interpreter is also available upon request.

The service is recommended every two years for women aged 50 – 74. Women aged 40 – 49 and 75 and over are also welcome and eligible.

The BreastScreen NSW Mobile Van is visiting Club Engadine RSL, from February 8th – March 12th 2021 .
