!! Baseball Success !!
We are absolutely thrilled to share some amazing news about our Year 10 student Riley Jones and his baseball journey.
In October 2023, Riley's talent and dedication were recognised as he was selected for the New South Wales U16 Australian Youth Championship baseball team, earning a spot as a catcher among a squad of 20 outstanding players.
Fast forward to the January 2024 school holidays, where Riley showcased his skills at the U16 Australian Youth Baseball Championships held at the prestigious Blacktown International Sports Park. Over the course of 6 intense days, Riley and his team battled against top teams from around the country, where emerged victorious, clinching the championship title while going undefeated!
This week, Baseball Australia announced that Riley has been handpicked from all players in the tournament to represent Australia in the U16 National Team! This incredible honour will take him to Atlanta, Georgia in the US this September, where he'll compete in an U16 tournament, proudly wearing the green and gold.
We couldn't be prouder of Riley and his accomplishments! His hard work, passion, and perseverance have truly paid off, and we're excited to see him continue to shine on the international stage.
