We have two classes for I.O students (10 in each class with a School Learning Support Officer) and two I.M classes (18 students in each class with a School Learning Support Officer). We also have an Autism class with a full-time School Learning Support Officer.
Programs for students who have additional needs are carefully planned in consultation between school staff, the student and parents. An Individualised Education Plan (IEP) is prepared for students in the junior school and an Individualised Transition Plan (ITP) for senior students.
Students supported by the Support Unit faculity undertake a range of junior and Higher School Certificate Life Skills courses. The range and mix of subjects undertaken by each student is determined as part of each student’s IEP/ITP process.
We aim to create a program that matches the specific needs of each student.
