Engadine High School again marked White Ribbon Day with a moving ceremony. The Year 12 Prefects organised a fantastic assembly that helped to promote the message of the White Ribbon Campaign: Not Silent, Not Violent. Students and staff alike were moved during the assembly with many exemplary student and teacher role models giving profound speeches. Our assembly was surrounded by 44 white chairs, which represented all of the women and children that have been murdered in an act of domestic violence in 2022.
We are so proud of our school community’s unwavering stance that violence in any form is never acceptable. All EHS students stood proudly shoulder to shoulder and pledged to make our community and society safer. We know our student body will be the generation to fight for gender equality. Please have a look at the incredible video our student leadership team led by Kirby Exton.
