Bangarra Youth Program

Friday provided a rare opportunity for Aboriginal students to lead their non-Aboriginal peers in a creative space, sharing and learning about Aboriginal culture through the art of dance. Under the inspiring guidance of Sani and Emma from the Bangarra Youth Program the students enthusiastically participated in the Online Secondary Aboriginal Dance Workshops. Our students collaborated with students from across New South Wales celebrating and learning about Aboriginal Dance. This was a chance for non-Aboriginal students to 'stand up' with their fellow Aboriginal students as one, learning and sharing together under a true banner of community.

Martin had the joy of linking back with his old school in Armidale which was a pleasant surprise. Thank you to the The Arts Unit for offering such a great program.
