Celebrating our very first cohort of HSC Aboriginal Studies Major Projects. The students produced some exceptional work. We extend our gratitude and thanks to the many community members who supported the students on these amazing learning journeys. Casey created Minga, a very special Yuin doll with accompanying teaching resources, for preschools. Jada produced a most informative and interesting podcast on the Walama Court. Kaylan scripted, performed and choreographed a powerful play based on Kevin Rudd's Apology to the Stolen Generations. Laura produced an interesting website on the history of Aboriginal protests in Australia. Ava created a striking art work, Unweaving Unknowns, comprising of traditional weaving techniques to represent her family history. Juliet wrote and performed a moving song in Worimi, Yii nyiirunba djuyal. The Major Project is accompanied by a detailed and comprehensive logbook capturing the learning journey. Congratulations to all the students.
