Sofia Piovesan and Bella Phillips represented Sydney East at the Secondary Girls Softball championships at Tamworth last week. The girls played 8 games in 3 days, with both girls playing pivotal roles as pitcher and catcher. Sofia finished her time with Sydney East with a massive home run in her last turn at bat and Bella took out the coveted Peter Zeigel award for sportsmanship and leadership, as voted on by the opposition coaches – the only individual award given at the championships
