Last Saturday, EHS’s 2021 school captain, Lara Proctor represented our school at the Lions Youth of the Year Club Final. Lara was awarded first place in both the public speaking competition and the overall competition. Lara’s commitment to community service, academics and passion for social justice within the school and wider community enabled her to impress the judges in a difficult interview process. Additionally, Lara’s impromptu speeches and her prepared speech titled ‘The Art of Political Conversation’ displayed her ability to think on her feet and demonstrate her interest in global politics. Lara looks forward to participating in the Zone competition next Wednesday 3rd March!
