The experienced PDHPE staff at Engadine High school are passionate advocates for life-long health and physical well-being and will work with you to develop and consolidate such traits.
According to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA), students are expected to participate in PDHPE for 300 hours per year in Years 7 to 10.
PDHPE provides students with opportunities to explore issues that are likely to impact on the health, safety and wellbeing of themselves and others – now and in the future. Students also participate in challenging and enjoyable physical activity, improving their capacity to move with skill and confidence.
PDHPE is a core, or compulsory, subject for all students in Years 7-10.
As an elective, PASS offers you an excellent opportunity to explore your inner athlete, coach, sports trainer and official.
PDHPE in Years 11 and 12 provides students with the opportunity to explore the science, public policy and individual responsibilities associated with health priorities and physical fitness initiatives in contemporary Australia in a theoretical setting.
