12 May 2022
This week our competitors were greeted at Waratah Cycling Track and with the same wet weather that we have been treated to for the first part of the year; but this time only 15 degrees!
Due to most schools having 'competitors only' events, student numbers were down. Nevertheless, we still witnessed some great running. The Engadine HS tilt started well, with Flynn Payne (Year 12) coming home first in her event. Many top ten finishes followed, with several top 5 results.
Despite the weather our students represented us well, spectating throughout the whole day and ensuring all runners knew that they were respected for taking up the challenge of competing at a non-compulsory event where they knew they will be taken out of their comfort zone.
Congratulations to all our competitors and a big thank you to the Year 11 and 12 Sports Coaching students for helping out on the day.
